George Spencer has a general civil litigation practice which includes professional malpractice, business, commercial, and probate and estate litigation. George has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1984.

George became a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1999, and he has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America from 1996 - 2011. Texas Monthly named George H. Spencer, Jr. Texas Super Lawyer from 2003 - 2010. He has also been selected for inclusion as one of San Antonio’s Best Lawyers in Scene in San Antonio Monthly Magazine for 2007 in the areas of business litigation law, defense-malpractice and personal injury law. George was the Case Note and Comment Editor for the St. Mary's Law Journal from 1976 to 1977.
