Kathy Stephens' practice areas include civil litigation and appeals. Kathy was a briefing attorney in the Fourth Court of Appeals prior to entering private practice. She also interned for the Honorable Fred Biery, United States District Judge in the Western District of Texas.

Kathy is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, Bexar County Women's Bar Association, San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. Kathy was the Symposium Editor of the St. Mary's Law Journal from 2003 to 2004.
